In 1976, architect Bengt Warne decided he wanted to have a greenhouse home in Vänersborg, Sweden. best-selling book author and founder of Best Money Moves Desarrollo Sustentable Sacilotto got inspired by the Swedish eco-architect, Bengt Warne, to make his family’s home draped in a glass blanket. In 1974, Warne designed the first home within a greenhouse, called a Nature House or Naturhus. Warne’s book På akacians villkor convinced Charles Sacilotto and Anders Solvarm to build their own Naturhus (the second is the subject of specific study in chapter 3). The Naturhus is an ordinary log house, enclosed by a greenhouse. A microclimate with spaces for activity and cultivation is created in the buffer space. Bengt Gunnarsson, ingenjör och tidigare också chef för Abba representerade detta företag som En bok om naturhus gav och Bengt Warne.

Beställare är Inger Karlsson och Christer Backman. De bjöd in arkitekten Bengt Warne, som i början av 1970-talet ritade och byggde Naturhuset i Saltsjöbaden. Huset, som består av ett bostadshus inneslutet i glas, var ett experiment och byggdes i samarbete med tidningen Allt i Hemmet för deras 20-årsjubileum 1976. Bengt Warne blev deras mentor ända tills han gick bort 2006.

In 1974, architect Bengt Warne designed the prototype for a Nature House in Sweden using a greenhouse to deal with the cold winters. Rather than converting an existing structure and moving inside it, he built a small summer house and then encased it in glass: called a Nature House (or “Naturhus” ). A home wrapped in its very own private greenhouse! For all intents and purposes, the Naturhus is a typical home – except for the extra glass layer surrounding it.
